VDMA AMT – Platform for Advanced Maritime Technology is the network for automation and digitalization in maritime shipping
AMT is the international network for automation and digitalization in maritime shipping. It gathers existing know-how and brings together companies along the value chain from technology providers to users in order to develop synergies, support work on solutions, further advance system integration, digitalization, automation and work on alternatives to conventional powertrains in the industry and make the best possible use of their potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
In difficult economic times, the VDMA supports its members with valuable information and personalised advice. Together, we find the right course and strengthen the resilience of companies.
AMT was founded as a new working group within the VDMA in November 2024. Its Managing Director Daniel Erdmann explains the background in an interview.
