Hannover Messe 2025: Interoperability enables efficient Digital Transformation and Data Spaces
Digital transformation and data spaces require interoperable information from production. OPC UA Companion Specifications play a crucial role in this process. The VDMA has already published over 120 Companion Specifications with its partners. At the Hannover Messe, the umati initiative demonstrated the first implementation of our X for machine architecture, compatible with the Manufacturing-X-Port. The demonstration for sovereign data exchange using data spaces was developed together with T-Systems. These developments highlight the importance of interoperability for efficient digital transformation.
