Trade Association
Valves
The Valves Association is the network of manufacturers of building and industrial valves in the VDMA.

We represent their interests at national and international institutions, vis-à-vis legislators, authorities, supplier and customer organisations and take influence on technical regulations. In addition, we inform and advise our currently around 170 member companies on all product-related issues and thus create a solid basis for business decisions. Our services include industry statistics, economic and market information, trade fair analyses, technical guidelines, research promotion and press and public relations work.

The "Technical Representation of Interests" steering committee has the task of determining the overarching objectives of the technical representation of interests (national/international) of the members in the area of water fittings for buildings and deriving fields of action. It identifies key topics and messages and prioritizes and focuses the fields of action developed bottom-up in the technical committees in order to counteract resource bottlenecks and conflicting objectives. It also defines the fundamental strategic direction of the interest group and decides on the inclusion of thematic alliances with other associations and network partners. It represents the jointly developed positions on behalf of the sector vis-à-vis key stakeholders from the socio-political system (including government authorities) and the public.
