In order to meet the demand for hydrogen in Baden-Württemberg, decentralized hydrogen production is needed in addition to large-scale international projects and imports. The local production of hydrogen by means of electrolysis represents an option for climate-friendly energy supply for companies with the potential to generate green electricity on site - for example through photovoltaic systems on the roofs of factory buildings.

This application guide will describe a method for assessing the risks and determining the necessary risk reductions of hydrogen systems.

Technology and regulations relating to hydrogen and its derivatives are constantly changing, making it difficult to stay up-to-date. For this reason, the Association of German Trade Supervisory Officers (VDGAB) and VDMA Power-to-X for Applications are jointly inviting participants to an exchange of hydrogen experience.
