The EU Commission is planning a comprehensive reform of key aspects of product law: digitalization of the New Legislative Framework, strengthening of market surveillance and accelerated standardization are intended to increase competitiveness and product safety.
The VDMA is launching the development of Product Category Rules (PCR) for gearboxes. Manufacturers are invited to actively participate in the design process. The next working group meeting will take place on August 5, 2025.
At an initial public meeting on 3.9.2024 at the VDMA in Frankfurt, almost 50 experts specified the aim and focus of the project and defined working groups. Initial results will be discussed on 8.11.2024. (Update no. 2)
