Olaf Wortmann: Order intake August 2023

The trend of a declining order intake in the mechanical and plant engineering sector has continued in August. Overall, orders fell by 21 percent in real terms. Domestic orders fell by 13 percent, while demand from abroad fell short of the previous year's level by 24 percent.
