Productivity as a service - cooperation for new AI-based business models
Artificial intelligence and the progressive networking of production facilities are enabling the mechanical engineering industry to develop new knowledge- and data-based business models. New service offerings, e.g. for predictive maintenance or support with machine parameterization, can be developed on the basis of data and empirical knowledge and with the support of AI. The added value for the user is all the greater when different experts pool their expertise.
Several companies have taken this approach in a joint project, including machine manufacturer F. Zimmermann and tool manufacturer Mapal. In future, customers will be offered a package comprising machine tools, cutting tools and IT services. This will enable them to operate their machining production with higher productivity, more stable processes and lower costs than today. From the customer's perspective, the package comes "from a single source" and can be booked and paid for flexibly. Self-learning AI algorithms recognize different machining situations by means of sensory data acquisition for all important components of the machine, tool and component and optimize the process parameters autonomously.
At our Business Brunch at the AMB trade fair, the participating companies Mapal and F. Zimmermann will report on the procedure, the technological approaches and the further implementation.
This business brunch is aimed at industrial production companies.
Registration: Participation is free of charge, registration is required (by 6.9.) and can be done via the homepage of the Economic Development Agency, https://pretix.eu/wrs/amb/.
The number of participants is limited. All registered participants will receive free access to the AMB trade fair after the event.
This event is being held in cooperation with the Allianz Industrie 4.0 Baden-Württemberg, Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH and Messe Stuttgart.
