Held every two years, the "All China Maritime Conference & Exhibition Marintec" is the largest shipbuilding exhibition in Asia and has developed into the leading trade fair for the Chinese shipbuilding market since its launch in 1981. The exhibition program focuses on shipbuilding and the shipbuilding supply industry in its entire range, port equipment and various services for the maritime industry.
According to the organizers, over 2,200 exhibitors took part in the pre-corona event in 2019 and presented themselves to 71,100 trade visitors. There were fifteen official country participations from China, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan and the USA. The exhibition program of the Chinese exhibitors focused on shipbuilding and a wide range of shipbuilding supplies with a focus on traditional mechanical engineering and electronic products.
Marintec took place for the 20th time in Shanghai at the SNIEC exhibition center in 2019. A four-day conference program entitled "Senior Maritime Forum" was once again offered parallel to the trade fair.
The Federal Republic of Germany has regularly participated in Marintec in Shanghai with a joint stand of German companies since 1989. in 2019, 88 main exhibitors (2017: 90 main exhibitors) exhibited on 1,837 m² (2017: just under 2,000 m²). The range of German exhibitors covered the entire variety of maritime supplier products and services such as electrical and electronic components and systems, gearboxes and couplings, maritime services, engines, navigation and communication systems, shipbuilding materials, safety equipment, etc. Outside the joint stand, around 15 other German companies were on site as direct exhibitors and around 20 other German companies via their local representatives, i.e. in the halls with the Chinese exhibitors.
A federally funded joint participation will be organized again in 2025.

The registration documents have been released by the BMWK and are available for download here. The registration deadline is 26.05.2023.
