Many small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany have some catching up to do when it comes to digitizing their work and business processes - even in the manufacturing sector. The digitization of industry is changing value-creation processes, new business models are emerging and, as a result, new prospects for employees. For small and medium-sized enterprises in particular, the digitization of production processes offers opportunities.

The approaches to digitization are diverse: possibilities of virtual reality (VR for short) and augmented reality (AR for short) are already increasingly taking place in adult education, especially in training and continuing education. Dangerous situations are much easier and less dangerous to recreate in a virtual environment than in the real world. Experienced content is also better remembered than learned facts.

What can you expect from the event? We will approach the possibilities of digitization for adult education from a practical perspective. The focus will be on the "learning by experiencing" approach: participants will be able to perform safety instructions through VR and production planning through AR in a playful way. In addition, we offer you a moderated, interactive workshop to develop your own scenarios from what you have seen or to reflect on the benefits of the applications and scenarios shown for your own company and thus develop starting points for integration.

You will also have the opportunity to ask your questions on the topic in an open exchange and to talk to colleagues from the manufacturing industry.

The face-to-face event will take place at the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum in Cologne and is aimed at specialists and managers from the fields of human resources, professional development and management. The event is limited to eighteen participants.

Moderation: Kevin Löpke
Registration deadline: 16.08.2022

In the interest of an efficient dialogue and against the background of compliance with the hygiene concept, we have limited the number of participants. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received.
