The topics of travel risk management and duty of care are more important than ever for many companies in the strongly export-oriented mechanical and plant engineering sector. The event provides tips and assistance for successful implementation.
The strong export figures for mechanical engineering from Germany not only show the flow of machinery deliveries. They also show where the travelling employees of the companies go - literally to every corner of the world. And the worldwide travel restrictions as a result of the corona pandemic have shown that - despite the most modern means of communication - physical travel remains an essential success factor in the capital goods business.
However, it is also clear that travel not only offers business opportunities and broadens personal horizons, but also sometimes poses risks and requires sound preparation and support. Indeed, the corona pandemic has once again highlighted this. The need to manage travel risks well is therefore obvious.
The event offers the opportunity to review and optimise travel risk management. We therefore invite you to discuss with the experts and the event participants about the employer's duty of care and about starting points for improving travel risk management. We have prepared the following aspects in particular for this purpose:
The event is aimed at experts and managers from the fields of foreign trade, human resources, export and corporate management.

- How has global travel changed?
- Has the employer's duty of care changed as a result of the corona pandemic?
- Can the tension between the employer's duty of care and the employee's right not to provide information on personal vaccination status be resolved?
- What about the use of unvaccinated employees on international business trips?
- What processes can ensure good involvement of supervisors in travel risk management?
- What processes can be used to ensure good documentation and monitoring of support measures aimed at travellers?
The event is aimed at experts and managers from the fields of foreign trade, human resources, export and corporate management.
