About the Official German Pavilion
IFAT Africa is a recognized platform for showcasing water, wastewater, waste and recycling technologies and solutions for the sub-Saharan African market. As a gateway for international companies to the African market and for African companies to the global market, it brings together key industry players with leading buyers and decision-makers in the region.

On the initiative of VDMA Process Technology, it will therefore once again be included in the 2025 edition of the German ministrys' Foreign Trade Fair Program (AMP). Exhibiting German companies can therefore look forward to a reduced participation fee and a German-speaking contact person on site.

Registration for the Official German Pavilion takes place via the AUMA online portal (after prior registration). The closing date for registration is April 18th, 2025. IEC Inter Expo Consult GmbH has been appointed as the implementation company. Your contact person here is Ms Liliya Dzemka. Further information and details on participation can be found in the factsheet (download below).

About the trade fair
As part of the IFAT family under the organiser Messe München, the African edition joins a large number of international locations that want to open up potential and markets for environmental technologies. Against the backdrop of increasing climatic changes, the improved treatment of water and wastewater and the handling of waste with ramifications for better and more sustainable recycling are becoming increasingly important. South Africa is no exception. As recently as 2022, the country was hit by a climate-related water shortage.

In 2023, there were 125 exhibitors and 4,452 at the exhibition centre in Johannesburg. Within the Official German Pavilion eleven companies exhibited with their own stand and seven within the information centre.
