The India International Leather Fair (IILF) will take place for the 38th time in Chennai from February 1 to 3, 2025. At the request of VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies, the IILF 2025 was once again included in the official foreign trade fair program of the Federal Republic of Germany. As in previous years, DEGA Expoteam is the organizing company. The federal participation gives German companies the opportunity to exhibit at a German pavilion at a reasonable price.
At the last event in 2024, 400 exhibitors from 55 countries showcased their products on a total area of around 9,500 square meters. The trade fair has thus reached or exceeded the pre-pandemic level. according to the organizer, over 14,600 trade visitors from 54 countries were registered. This underlines the importance of the trade fair, not only in India.

- Leather garments
- Footwear and components
- Leather and footwear machinery
- Leather chemistry
- Tanning machines
- Synthetic materials for the production of leather, shoes and leather goods
The Indian leather industry is one of the country's most important export sectors, with exports amounting to around USD 4.56 billion (2023) and around 4.42 million people working in this industry.
