Born in Leipzig, he studied computer engineering in Frankfurt am Main before working in the technical sales department of one of the world's leading measurement and control specialists. Uwe Vogt has been with AUCOTEC AG since January 2000, initially as a project engineer in the development department. As a project manager, he then took over responsibility for the then brand new ‘Engineering Base’ platform and became Head of Development for all product lines in 2006. In 2009, he was appointed to the company's Management Board and was responsible for all technical areas. Since 2018, Uwe Vogt has also been responsible for sales, marketing and subsidiaries on the Management Board. He has been a participant in the Engineering Summit from the very beginning and has been a member of the congress advisory board for several times.
