Artificial intelligence (AI) is a technology for implementing the future vision of "Industry 4.0". It is no longer an abstract idea, but solutions that can be used in products and in the company. Both the technology and its tools are constantly being developed and are not just distant and abstract ideas, but tools that can be used in everyday production.

Finding the right information in a company is often still time-consuming, despite data that has already been digitized in many cases, due to the numerous different data sources - regardless of whether this information is needed for a project or product-specific details are the focus of the search. AI algorithms offer suitable solution approaches for this to enable faster and more targeted finding.

To the event series "Artificial Intelligence in Mechanical Engineering".

How implementation can find its way into everyday operations and what companies have thought about this topic will be presented in this online event using implementation examples. The companies will show how they are harnessing the potential for themselves and others.

What can participants expect from the event series? The aim is to highlight the relevance of the use of AI in the corporate context. The solutions are often of benefit to companies in several ways: On the one hand, with regard to the further development of existing services and, on the other hand, with regard to the optimization of their own corporate processes.

The series of events is aimed, among others, at specialists and managers from the areas of digitization, IT, business development and product management, as well as management. The content of this event is supported by the VDMA Software and Digitalization. This represents the interests of software manufacturers and reflects digital technologies to the mechanical engineering industry. The IT department and the trade association work very closely together and are managed as a single unit within the VDMA. The aim of the two groups is to promote cooperation between the software industry and mechanical engineering and thus drive forward the digital transformation.
