Because of this, VDMA members must understand more than ever the accelerating changes in geopolitics, which are quickly altering the landscape of the global trading system.  After more than two years of a global pandemic and now a war in Europe, VDMA members must deal with the consequences: supply-chain disruptions, sanctions, travel restrictions, and other forms of economic coercion that can stifle global trade. The impact of global politics on business is greater now than ever.

For this reason and in order to support you as a member, the VDMA Foreign Trade Department offers a broad range of expertise dedicated to helping members enter and succeed in overseas markets. The most common issues across all foreign markets are understanding visa and travel requirements, finding local business partners, overcoming regulatory barriers, and appreciating cultural as well as security challenges. The VDMA Foreign Trade Department has a team of experienced country and technical experts in Frankfurt, as well as liaison offices on the ground in all of our key overseas markets, to give members guidance on these topics.

To better understand the offerings of the Foreign Trade Department, we invite you to the following two presentations (in English).
