The next glasstec, the world's leading trade fair for the glass industry, will take place in Düsseldorf from 22 - 25 October 2024. glasstec clearly underlined its importance for the global glass industry with its restart in 2022 as a presence trade fair after the pandemic-related break. 936 exhibitors from 47 countries impressively demonstrated the industry's capabilities to 30,000 visitors from 119 countries in the "International Year of Glass". The focus was on the global trend topics of climate protection, resource efficiency, urbanisation, sustainable value creation and well-being, but also on current challenges such as high energy costs, supply chain bottlenecks or the shortage of skilled workers.
As of 1st of December 2022 Lars Wismer (49) will lead the team of glasstec, the world’s leading trade fair for the glass sector, as well as A+A, International Trade Fair for Safety, Security and Health at Work.
The VDMA Forum Glass Technology as the conceptual sponsor draws a positive conclusion, especially with a view to the future significance of machine trade fairs.
